Self Esteem

Self-esteem concerns how we see ourselves, how we see ourselves compared to others, and how we believe others see us. It can cause us to be withdrawn, defensive, or avoidance, and feel sad, defeated, and shame.

This workshop aims to help attendees

  • Understand low self-esteem from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy viewpoint
  • Explore how it develops and what keeps it going
  • Learn four key skills to manage these tendencies better

Together we will learn how self-esteem affects us emotionally and physically, as well as the way it changes how we think and behave in different situations. You will learn a range of coping strategies to help improve your self-esteem including:

  • How to refocus on your strengths and qualities
  • How to change what you do to help improve your self-esteem
  • How to catch and balance excessively self-critical thoughts

All workshops have been recorded by our therapists and are available to view online here.
